Personal

It’s been a tough year. On 23 March 2018, Feyona and I were left with a life in tatters. A life neither of us wanted. A life without Simon. We’ve had to get used to living together – single mother with daughter, daughter with the parent she wasn’t really raised by. We’ve made progress, she and I. And Simon has been with us every step of the way. In spirit, in soul, in stories, in all the art that he has surrounded us with, in all the pictures that we have of him, the surreptitious videos that Feyona made when she’d just been given a new camera, the interview she did with him when at school in 2017. We’ve hugged it all close, like a life raft in a choppy sea of tears. The time has now come to share it all. For all of you other lovely people that loved Simon and were loved by him. Please don’t feel you have to look at all this. It’s why we’ve divided up the website into Art and Personal. But please feel welcome to watch, listen and look if it brings you comfort – or even joy. I’m acutely aware that I wasn’t the only one to love him deeply. Once again, if there is anything you really feel should go onto this page, get in touch with me at ansitamon@hotmail.com.

With love, Anita
